Ferroelectric cathode is one of the novel materials from which electron can be emitted when voltage or laser pulses are applied on it.This paper investigates on the emission of the ferroelectric cathode and ferroelectric trigger switch from the view of theoretic analysis and experiment.The main content in introductory chapter is about the history of ferroelectric electron emission,ferroelectric trigger switch and frame of this paper.Second and third chapter bases on theoretic analysis and experiment of the ferroelectric electron emission,some conclusion were got as follow:1.From the view of the microstructure and thermodynamics,the emitted competence of the ferroelectric cathode has close relation with polarization electric field.If we leave out of account space charge,the emitted current density can obviously increase when the polarization electric field is enhanced.2.By electronics emitted experiment,the linear relation exists between the emitted current and polarization electric field when the polarization electric field is lower,and the current rapidly increased when the polarization electric field is very high.3.The deterioration of the vacuums has no influence on the ferroelectric electron emission,it only influence the collection of the emitted electron.The main content in fourth and fifth.chapter is ferroelectric trigger vacuum switch. About the ferroelectric trigger vacuum switch,some conclusions as follow:1.The switch can steady operate when the proportion of the working voltage to breakdown voltage is 10%and the jitter of the switch is less than 800ps.2.The jitter of the switch is littler,the polarization electric field is higher when the polarization electric field is lower,but the rule is reciprocal when the polarization electric field exceed one certain numerical value.3.The shape of the electrodes has obvious influence on the jitter.The switch has the best working performance when the shape of the cathode and anode is flat and ring.The working performance of the switch is not good when electrode is spherical shape or flat shape.4.Riseing time and delay time has close relation with the electrode gap.Rising time and delay time is longer when the electrode gap is larger.5.The deterioration of the vacuum doesn't reduce reduce the emitted ability of the ferroelectric trigger electrode,but the jitter is larger when vacuum in the chamber of the switch is deteriorated.Sixth chapter is about the ferroelectric trigger pseudospark switch,some conclusions as follow:1.The rising and delay time is smaller,the air pressure is higher.2.The height of the cathode cavity has obvious influence on delay time of the switch.The delay time is longer,the higher of the cathode cavity.The height of the cathode cavity has no influence on the breakdown voltage and jitter of the switch.3.The jitter is about 3ns when the trigger voltage is about 3kV and the jitter is less 1ns when the trigger voltage is 6kV.In a word,the result of the theoretic analysis accords with the phenomenon of the experiment,which indicates that this paper can pray a way for the continual investigation on the ferroelectric cathode.
