Modern Urban Settlements Courtyard Waterscape Design Study

Waterscape is one of the most important things in the landscape architecture of urban residential garden. Nowadays people changed their view of resident need from Home Ownership to Better Home Ownership, and they came to realize that the real high quality life is to live among natural and harmonious ecological environment. It is for these reason that waterscape satisfied with people's mentality about seeking natural and back-to-nature by its unique charm. So waterscape design of urban residential garden became one bright spot in the construction of urban residential areas.Recently we could found some studies about waterscape design in urban residential garden, but most of them mainly focus on design forms. It is rarely found researches on its details of design methods and technical problems of maintenance. This paper attempts on the basis of previous gardening studies, adhere to Chinese and foreign gardening information, carry on a great amount of field investigations and researches, and analysis the problems of waterscape design in urban residential garden today, in order to provide relevant theoretical support of waterscape design in urban residential garden. Discussing from the perspective of environmental art and according to Feng Shui Study, Geography, Ecology, Botany, as well as the theory of aesthetic to interpretation and analysis waterscape design in urban residential garden, and the design principles and methods of waterscape design in urban residential garden, finally find the best solution to deal with the problems which existed in waterscape design in urban residential garden. In a word, I hope that this article could make some efforts on the research of waterscape design in China urban residential garden.
