Study On Waterscape Design In Modern Residential Area

Based on the “Water-designing” theory in Chinese classic garden, considering the aspects from Landscape, Environmentology, Aesthetics, Human Behavioral Psychology, Sociology and Economics, this thesis attempts to redefine the concept of Waterscape design in the modern residential area. By analyzing different design principles from Adaptability, Aesthetic, Interactivity,Ecology and Security in the theory about Waterscape design in Chinese classic garden and in residential area, this thesis analyzes the Aesthetic, Ecological, leisure and commercial function of Waterscape design in the modern residential area, and explores the significance and layout scheme about the modern residential waterscape design in the residential design. The author researches about the most easily neglected plants positioned in the Waterscape and revetment theory, and expounds the problem about over design in waterscape in the modern residential area and the problems ignoring maintenance. At last, by using the analysis in this thesis, the author designed an ecological interactive waterscape adapted by the Peninsula 1 Center Four South Island District In Guangdong and hope it could prove the useful resources and theory for waterscape design in modern residential area.
