Creativity is the soul of the design, The essence of design is the creative mind.so the use of creative thinking in commodities design plays a vital role in the design results. As each subject field encourages innovativeness, people have attached unprecedented importance to creative thinking and put it into wide use that a popular trend of studying creative thinking is sweeping over China and overseas. As people increasingly pursue the quality and taste of life and set higher and higher standards for commodities design, we need to cultivate the ability of solving problems in design through creative thinking. Therefore, to dig out the use of creative thinking in commodities design has become the important content of current design study.The study content of this thesis is thus carried out from this point. Firstly according to the traits, current situation and process of production, it would examine the commodities involved to summarize the forms and essential features of creative thinking in commodities design. Then from the angle of society, market and products, it would explore deeply to point out that creative thinking is the core of commodities design and to analyze the creative thinking's function and purpose in commodities design, through which we could get a full understanding of commodities design activities and better apply the creative activity of commodities design to elevate the quality of our lives. Finally, it would give a specific analysis of divergent thinking, reverse thinking, imaginative thinking, associative thinking and bionic thinking widely used in commodities designs to learn the features and methods of expression of different forms of creative thinking and fully develop the thinking fields of commodities design.After carrying out theoretical studies on creative thinking of commodities design, the thesis would specifically illustrate the practical use of developing creative thinking in design through design case to prove that intellectual society demands talents with creative ability and that development of creative thinking is of extreme importance.
