The technology used in water decontamination is faced great challenge in the condition of the serious water environment organic pollution and the available resource extremely decrease day after day.During the studying on potassium permanganate decontaminating water technology , the researchers take an attention on the function of freshly formed manganese dioxide, and conclude that freshly fromed manganese dioxide is a high efficiency, safety and no posion water decontamination regent. on the base of others' work, the author takes focus on surface chemistry, characteristics of coagulation, capacity of romove organic pollutants and romove heavy metal ions from drinking raw water, and further explores the mechanism of water purification role of freshly fromed manganese dioxide. The results show that, freshly fromed manganese dioxide is an efficient water treatment coagulation Pharmacy , has an excellent coagulation characteristics, and have escellent capacity of romoval organic pollutants and romove heavy metal ions from drinking raw wate.The structure and interface property of freshly fromed manganese dioxide particleswere characterized, and its possible mechanism of pollutants removalwas investigated. The results showed that the freshly fromed manganese dioxide had abundant surface hydroxy, litscrystal form wasδ-MnO2, and its specific surface is large.The structure and image of colloidal freshly fromed manganese dioxide flocculate particles and the electrical charge characteristic of colloidal freshly fromed manganese dioxide were studied. The surface chemistry charac teristic of coloidal freshly fromed manganese dioxidewascharacterized by IR spectra and XRD technology etc. The results show that the colloidal freshly fromed manganese dioxide shows negative electricity in doubly distiled water and raw water. The diameter of the particles is about 10 am and its flocculate shows network structure which benefits to adsorbing bridging in doubly distiled water. So it exhibits surface chemistry of excellent removal polutants. It gives best coagulation eficiency and good efect of removal organic polutants to raw water in a low dosage.Through experiments found that, There are obvious effects of coagulation in raw water when the pH ranges is 7-9. It infers that the mechanism of turbidity removal is interface adsorption and bridging action.Research shows that , there are individual differences coagulation ability to different turbidity of raw water. In most cases coagulation ability of FM-2 is greater than FM-1; FM-1 and FM-2 both have the best administration , Compared to the freshly fromed manganese dioxide fromed in raw water, prefabricated freshly fromed manganese dioxide has no capacity of coagulation.Freshly fromed manganese dioxide has escellent capacity of romoval trace organic pollutants from drinking raw water. FM-2 has the best capacity of romoval humic acid from raw water.FM-2 is an excellent regent of removal organic pollutants. Compared to the freshly fromed manganese dioxide fromed in raw water, prefabricated freshly fromed manganese dioxide has the poor capacity of romoval humic acid from raw water.Study found that , absorption of organic pollutants in water of the reshly fromed manganese dioxide is selective. The bigger the molecular weight of humic acid is, the stronger capacity of reshly fromed manganese dioxide adsorpt humic acid will be performanced. Cations as Ca2+,Mg2+ Promote the capacity of the reshly fromed manganese to adsorpt humic acid, and increasing the pH value can increase the reshly fromed manganese dioxide absorption capacity of humic acid.The results showed that the freshly fromed manganese dioxide had excellent effect of removing Cd( II) from rawwater. The removal rate of Cd( II) reached 95% with 3mg/L freshly fromed manganese dioxide. So the freshly fromed manganese dioxide was a kind of effective water treatment reagent for removing Cd( II).Also found that , the pH of the water is an important factor that impact of Cd( II) removal, the best pH range of freshly fromed manganese dioxide to removel Cd( II) is more than 7. Increasing substances in the water turbidity could increase the rate of removel Cd( II).
