The reinforced concrete column-H section beam structure is one kind of structures which has widespread application in actual projects. This structure has good performance in fire protection, anticorrosion and the construction cost is low. The H section beam's light dead weight and the RC column's good resistant compression ability are its another two characteristics. Because the mechanics properties of the concrete and H section steel have great difference,so this structure is more complex than portal frame or bent structure. But the research on this structure are few,and the design and construction of this kind of projects have no codes or standards to use. Some project accidents happened when depending upon experience. This paper first qualitatively discussed mechanics properties of the RC column-H section beam structure. Then established the structure' finite element model through large-scale finite element analysis procedure ANSYS 10.0 and analysised the structure' finite element non-linear stress performance which separately in the vertical load, the horizontal load and the vertical and horizontal load. Through comparing the RC column-H section beam structure' finite element non-linear analysis results with the portal frame structure', the paper obtained the structure' main mechanics properties and provided reference for the engineering designners. Most designers use PKPM to design this structure. The paper' another task was appraising the PKPM software' calculating accuracy by comparing with ANSYS' large distortion non-linear analysis results, providing reference for the designners.Through analysis, the paper obtained following main conclusions:(1) The mechanics properties of the RC column-H section beam structure are similar with the portal frame structure' when the beam-column node is rigid connection. The rigid connection is better than hinged connection.(2) The RC column' breakdown points are in the top or bottom of the column.(3) H section beam' breakdown points are in the node when the beam-column node is rigid connection. And the breakdown points are at the mid span of the beam when the beam-column node is hinged connection.(4) Two softwares' results of the H section beam' absolutely biggest bending moment, the biggest displacement and the horizontal thrust along with the span are similar.(5) ANSYS' horizontal thrust results are 1.85 times larger than PKPM' when the beam-column node is hinged connection. For the top part of the RC column' maximum horizontal displacement, ANSYS' results are 1.57 times larger than PKPM' when the beam-column node is rigid connection.
