At present, the domestic and foreign researches about the concrete filled steel tube slab-column structure's joint are much about rigid joint. The design about slab-column's rigid joint can achieve to transmit the bending moment and the shearing force, but its joint is complex in the structural compatibility. And it will produce imbalanced bending moment and extra shearing strength when it endured horizontal load, so the punching resistance capacity of the joint can be reduced to make the joint becoming a weaker link in aseismic engineering.This new style of connection breaks the limitations mentioned above and makes the concrete filled steel tube slab-column structure system widely used in high-rise buildings in high seismic regions. In order to improve the joint's performance, the topic designed a kind of joint that is about the situation in which the concrete filled steel tube runs through the slabs and the concrete slabs are simply supported on holding-plate of column. And also the punching strength and the characteristics of the lateral displacement are analysized.In order to obtain the hinge node of the concrete filled steel tube slab-column structure, the joints are designed as two groups, totally five different kinds of slab-column joints which are designed to be some concrete boards, the reduced scale of which is 2100mm×2100mm. And there are some holding-plates, a width of 50mm, in the external steel tube column. The first group of five special-shaped slab-column connections achieve anti-punching test; the second group connections achieve anti-sway back and forth low-cycle test. Large amounts of` valuable strain data of steel bar, holding-plates and concrete were collected by the series of 10 tests of slab-column joint. The research finds that this kind of joints have better characteristics in punching resistance capacity and lateral displacement resistance and give some reference to the design of the joints.
