Train braking is the chief problem to be solved for heavy-haul transport. Synchronization brake control is used on freight railway in China, but it has some problems. The capability of adapting complex environmental is not well. The delay of brake signal will lead that the train organizing can not be too long. Asynchronous brake control technology can overcome the problem of track gradient differences and brake command delay. So In this thesis, the asynchronism brake control is studied thoroughly from three aspects: modeling of the heavy-haul trains, designing of the asynchronism brake control method and implementing of the asynchronism brake control unit.Train damping system and coupler cushion device have been analyzed. To modeling longitudinal dynamical model of heavy-haul train, dynamical method has been used and the heavy-haul trains is described to spring damping system. Train vehicle cushion devices have also been considered. Then, it is validated against the data sets from actual train runs by simulation. An asynchronism brake control method based on MPC is proposed. It analyzes the needs of asynchronism brake demand, and uses wagon fence method to predict brake reference trace. Then T-S model based on satisfying degree is used to improve the performance of general predictive control. At last, the method is validated by simulation. It uses PWM control technology and closed-loop control to design asynchronous brake control unit's project by considering modularization, reliability and expansibility. Then it is implemented and used to brake control system implement device. At last, it is validated against simulation and experimentation.
