The research object of this paper is the ChaLin River Bridge- a damaged pre-stressed concrete railway bridge lies in the JiaoLiu Line. The main content of this paper lists as below:1. Using carbon fiber reinforced plastic(CFRP) to reinforce the damaged bridge and tested the bridge on scene before and after the reinforcement.2. The vibration characteristic of ChaLin River Bridge, a pre-stressed concrete railway bridge, was analyzed. The vertical Nature Frequency of ChaLin River Bridge was calculated by analytic formula and offered the reference value for estimate the validity of results calculated by finite elements approximately in theory.3. Nonlinear finite elements were used to analyze the static and dynamic characteristics of ChaLin River Bridge before and after reinforcement and the paper discussed the reason for the appearance of bridge crack. The effect of reinforcement of bridge was estimated quantificational and the validity of CFRP for the reinforcement of damaged pre-stressed concrete railway bridge was proved.After analysis, the instance proved the validity of CFRP for reinforcing the railway bridge and the paper offered several reference and effective calculative methods for the reinforcement job for thepre-stressed concrete railway bridge.
