Strengthening concrete structure with Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) is a new structural repair method in recent years. Because of its high strength, resistance to electro chemical erosion, low manpower demand for application and minimal changes in geometrical dimensions of member, the method has been found to be economical and efficient for application.Based on the domestic and foreign research, our main work are as follows:(1) Introduce the lamination unit theory, and analyze a text beam by using the theory. The result indicates that it is an effective way to reinforce concrete beam.(2) Crate a finite element model to study the influencing factors of the reinforcement by collected data. The factors include the reinforcement material amount, ratio of reinforcement, concrete marking, secondary load, and so on. The ultimate load capacity of reinforcement grows when the first three factors rise, and it will reduce when the secondary load improve.(3) A reinforcement of a three-span pre-stressed continuous beam bridge is analyzed. It may provide a reference to the reinforcement of similar bridges. The ultimate load capacity of reinforced concrete structure will improve obviously when it is reinforced by the fiber reinforced plastic. However, the effectiveness is not so clear for the pre-stressed structure. Additionally, the paper presents the way for further studies on this problem in future.
