Urban Streetscape Design Study

The street is an important component of the urban spaces. Compared to other urban public space, Street is the most frequently torching with urban residents of urban public spaces. Urban street landscape as an important part of the street spaces is the framework of the urban landscape. Urban landscape will become more unique and luxuriant because of the special and vitality of street landscape. At the same time, the street landscape is also the manifestation of the city economic development, social progress, the degree of civilization, the overall image, and so on.With the development of socio-economic, improvement of urban literacy and enhancement of people's awareness to improve the quality of life, the urban streetscape design looks like particularly important. At present, the research of urban streets landscape design is lagging behind the study abroad. It is urgently needed to conduct in-depth research and guidance both in theory and practice of streets landscape design.The article mainly includes the following six aspects:1.The paper, expesses that the city streets on the streets as the importance of urban public space by the concept of city streets, city streets, the formation and development of the characteristics of then we can know the streetscape traction.2. Landscape from the concept of city streets, which constitute the elements, aesthetic elements, the value and significance of the landscape of the status quo of our city streets and to set out the question of the reasons that an important streetscape.3. Landscape design should pay attention to the problems through city streets , human behavior characteristics of the visual impact of city streets.4. Analy the city streets of the elements of landscape design and urban waterfront streetscape design. 5.Take Changsha streets landscape design as a case study. combined with the current status, functional zoning, the design goal, this paper make a in-depth study.6.Finally, the conclusions of this paper were summarized, pointing out that direction of the research and development of the future streetscape design.
