In the model test of large scale heavy duty manipulator which is a typical complex electromechanical system, it usually appears a range of difficulties both in theory and technique. Aiming at solving this issue, the systemic research on the similitude theory and method of complex electromechanical system is presented.Firstly, with regard to the multi-energy domains feature of complex electromechanical system, the concept of generalized similarity is proposed and defined based on the expansion of classic similarity. The dynamic similarity conditions for the elements of bond graph are derived based on the bond graph which is an effective tool for modeling of system with multi-energy domains. The system mode similarity is further analyzed and studied according to the mode analysis theory based on bond graph. Thus, the bond graph method for dynamic similarity analysis of system with multi-domains is presented and the correctness of the method is verified through experiments.Secondly, aiming at solving the issue of the complex feature of complex electromechanical system, the essential limitations of similitude theory are analyzed. The basic principles and requirements for the similarity of complex-system are advanced based on the perspective of system theory. The function similarity, structure similarity and similarity of the relationship between function and structure for each hierarchy of the system are explored Thus, the similitude theory and method which can be applied to instruct the similarity research on complex-system is established. The method can be widely applied to various subject areas as it is proposed on the basis of general system theory.Then, the basic requirements for the similarity of these systems are advanced. Based on the theory and method for complex system proposed in this text, the similitude theory and method which can be applied to instruct the similarity research on complex system with multi-energy domains is established. Finally, the new method is utilized in the similarity analysis of a temper mill system which is a typical complex system with multi-energy domains. This method not only can handle the complex relation between part and whole of complex system with the characteristic of multi-energy domains coupling, balance the partial and overall similarity of system, but also can study the system similarity from the philosophical relations between system "structure-function".Finally, the analysis of hierarchy for the hydraulic system of large scale heavy duty manipulator is presented by utilization of parts of method advanced by the dissertation. The bond graph models for each subsystem and overall coupling are established and the similarity analysis and model test are studied.Overall similarity analysis and model test aimed at complex system with characteristics such as multi-energy domains coupling, complexity, systematization and so on is not concerned and studied with home or abroad till now. By utilization of power bond graph, a new theory and method which can be applied to the similarity analysis of complex electromechanical system with multi-energy domains coupling is presented. The method provides a solution for the similarity analysis and design of complex electromechanical systems.
