Shield machine is a large mechanical device that is widely used in the construction of tunnel engineering such as subway, railway, roadway, city infrastructure, and water and electricity utility. Cutter head and cutters are the key components of shield machine, which are mainly used to beak and strip the rock and soil of working face. The adaptation of the structure parameters, operating parameters of the cutters and geological parameters is the basic security of efficient tunneling. Focusing on the characteristics of the cutter head and cutters of the machine and starting from the cutting mechanism, the thesis studies the arrangement features, kinematics features and Mechanical properties of the cutters, and establishes the mechanical model of the cutters, the mechanical model provides theoretical basis for the optimal design and life prediction of the cutters. This thesis completed contents as below:1,This thesis started with analyzing the disk cutters on EPB shield and slurry shield, and configuration and display rules of cutting-tool. On the basis of that, it analyzed the rule of cutter movement and established the kinematical equation of cutter, front cutter, side cutter of TBM and rock breaking track curve length equation.2,Through the analysis of physics characteristics of soft rock and clay and cutting process of cutting-tool, based on maximum stress theory, it established mechanical model of soft rock cutting, split failure section of claying cutting into wedge failure section in the center and two crescent section on the side, it established mechanical model of clay cutting based on soil mechanic.3,Established simulation model of rocking cutting in ANSYS/LS-DYNA software, analyzed the impact on cutter loading variation resulted by different combination of configuration and working parameters of cutting-tool, and achieved similar result on simulation model and mechanical model.4,Tested sample cutting on a liner cutting test stand and finally educed the variation rule of cutter loading and proofed the effectiveness and accuracy of simulation model and mechanical model.
