In21st century, the underground space century, shield machine have been more andmore used in tunnelling works, such as transportation、municipal and irrigation works.This is due to its high degree of automation, high speed, weather protected and smallimpact on the environment.As the key components of the shield machine, the cutterheadand cutters directly affected the efficiency and cost of construction.Different geologicalconditions of city and different structure of the cutterhead and cutters have a certainimpact on the cutting force and the force condition of the cutterhead.So doing reasearch onthe cutting force and finite element analysis of the cutterhead had an important guidingsignificance for the design applications of cutterhead and cutters.In this paper, it is based on the related parameters of earth pressure balance shieldmachine of diameter of6.14meter of Tianyetonglian company.In order to get theinfluence of different geological conditions and different parameters of cutter on thecutting force, this paper simulated the cutting processes of different geological conditionsand different parameters of cutter, using the explicit algorithm of abaqus software.And theresults have palyed a guiding role to the design of the cutting tool parameters underdifferent geological conditions.In order to reduce the cutting force of the cutters, this paper has simulated the vibration of the cutting tool cutting process, getting the influence of changes of the amplitude and frequency of the vibration signal on the cutting force.This paperalso analysised the reasons for the changes.Finally, this paper also calculated the thrust and torque of this shield machine,analysised the force of the cutter disc under different working conditions.This paper established the simplified three-dimensional model of the cutterhead and finite element analysis has done on differnet conditions, getting the stress and strain condition of the cutterhead under different working conditions.The results have provided the basis to find the weakness of the cutterhead and optimize its structure.
