Penetyator with enhanced lateral efficiency is a new fuzeless ammunition which can be used for any application with no high-octane detonator or no fuze.The new PELE ammunition is the only fuzeless ammunition without High-Explosive charge with can be realized as full-caliber,sub-caliber spin stabilized and sub-caliber fin stabilized ammunition at present.This thesis presents theoretic analysis of PELE and the influnce of each factor on the lateral effect.Many factor affecting PELE were presented,for example the struvture of pill, the filling material, the material with chemic energy. This thesis presents the oretic analysis and testing studies on each factor of PELE effcct.The functional principle is based on a physical effect with uses the difference indensity between the inner and the exterior core.In order to study the influence of the filling chmic energy material on the lateral effect ofpenetrator with enhancedlateral effect,we carried out exerimental research with Orthogonal experimental design.The exerimental results show that the filling chemic energy material has much to do with the PELE effect. Looking at the future we are working on an advanced PELE ammunition performance. Thie next generation of PELE will be the ALP-Active Lateral Penetrator.
