Hrdrostatic/hybrid journal floating ring bearings are mainly applied in high-speed rotating machines such as aviation engines, air-separation and high precision grinding machines. Investigations on the influence of oil pressure to the performance of bearing and on how to control the stability of bearing-rotor system by changing inner and outer oil film pressure has a significant importance.This dissertation takes the bearing-rotor system as a basic research object, calculates the static and dynamic characters of radial-thrust hrdrostatic/hybrid journal floating bearings together with the stability of the bearing-rotor system. Also it presents experimental parameters and schemes.The dissertation gives both inner and outer films' radial and thrust Reynolds equations of hrdrostatic/hybrid journal floating bearings with low and deep grooves configuration supported by two independent oil supply systems, the expressions of static and dynamic coefficients, bearing equivalent stiffness and damping coefficients and rules of stability. Implement the FEA algorithm with VC++ to calculating the static and dynamic characteristic coefficients of bearing system in equilibrium condition in different oil pressures and eccentricities. Analyse the effections to the stability of bearing system by changing inner and outer oil pressure. Draw characteristic curve in various working conditions. On the basis of above, this paper provides the methods of on how to control actively. Other schemes are also demonstrated in the paper.According to the parameters calculated, the experimental bearing and the parameters of experimental rig are designed. Besides the experimental schemes is also presented in the dissertation.The data and charts in this dissertation can be referenced for designing and calculating the same kind of hrdrostatic/hybrid journal floating bearings.
