Taking reactive power compensation on the transmission and distribution lines has great significance to improving power factor,reducing the circuit power losing,stabilizing voltage,improving the quality of supplying power. This paper takes a 6kV transmission and distribution line of ZhongYuan Oilfield as an example, on the account of the characteristic of lines of multi-branch tree structure, it develops an outdoor column of high-voltage reactive sub-stage device based on single-chip and wireless communication module.By taking the way of separating the measurement points and the compensation points, this paper realizes regional reactive power load monitoring. It places the reactive power compensation point in the reactive power load center of regional dispersed load, it takes use of the compensation capacity to the greatest extent, which shortening the transmission distance of the reactive current effectively and reducing the power loss of power grid. In the optimizing control technology, the two stage control model of capacitor compensation is used, it not only solves the optimal control problem of crossing reactive current between the branch lines, realizes the automatic tracking of power factor, but also greatly improves the reliability of the whole system.The paper designs the measurement system and control system as the core of MCU, including full-inductive reactive power collector for measuring the line reactive power and power factor, reactive power signal repeaters and reactive power compensation controller.reactive power signal repeater is a sending and receiving modules together, which can achieve long-distance data transmission; The reactive compensation controller is used to receive the transponder signal and takes the switching control of compensation capacitor.The paper develops the software of the control system, and also selects the primary devices, and puts forward the project planning scheme. At last, the project implementation is introduced. This paper also analyzes the compensation effect and the economic benefits arising from the device put into operation, the result shows that the application of the device has good compensation effect to reactive power and good economic benefits.
