New energy has become more and more important, as fossil energy will run out in decades. Solar has been used to generate electric by many states quickly for its advantages. Solar lighting system is one of the most typical applications in solar energy. People attach importance to solar lighting system, for it does not need cable and traditional power supply.It describes the parts of the system and its principle. As the characteristics of the solar panel, battery and LED are the key to the system, we analyze them carefully. The problems with the traditional solar lighting system are low efficiency and short lifetime. We employ MPPT embedding in Mas characteristic curve intelligent charging strategy working together with hardware. It makes the best use of the solar energy and the battery has longer life with the help of strategy working together with hardware. We control the depth of discharge and charge saturation accurately by temperature compensation. It makes the lifetime of the battery longer.Innovations:1,Most of the solar lighting systems use the diode connecting battery with solar panel. We apply MPPT embedding in Mas characteristic curve intelligent charging strategy working together with hardware in the system. MCU has been used as the controller. It makes the best use of the solar energy. Even when the light is soft, the MCU may control the system to charge the battery in a condition that the power of the solar energy is larger than the consumption of the system itself.2,The maximum acceptance charging current decreases, when the battery state of charge increases. If the charging current is larger than the maximal acceptance charging current, the battery will polarize worse and generate more gas. It does not only lower the charging efficiency but also heat the battery, which are bad for the lifetime of the battery. Mas characteristic curve intelligent charging strategy is employed in the system to enhance the efficiency of the battery and enlarge its lifetime.
