The technology of prestressed anchor has been widely used in the slope supporting engineering. It can exert the strength and self-stabilizing ability of the surrouding rock, and reduce the supporting structure loads, as well as save the engineer invest. Pressure-type cable is a new anchorage system.Compared with traditional pull-type anchor, its force transmission mechanism can be more reasonable, and the distribution of bond stress can be more uniform, meanwhile, the performance of corrosion prevention and durability can be greatly enhanced. Therefore, it has a bright prospect and broad application in the slope supporting engineering.This paper,based on the reviewing of the research of the pressure-type cable both at home and abroad and its current application, combining with an anchorage project of a large-scale municipal slope which used pressure dispersion-type cable, ie. Through theoretical analysis and the field test, completed the tasks concerning mechanism and the effect of pressure dispersion-type cable as follows:(1) Based on the assumption of deformation coordination, according to Mindlin's solution of displacement and theory of elastricity, elastic solutions for the rule of shear stress and axial force distribution of pressure dispersion-type cable are derived.(2) The rule of stress distribution of the anchorage segment and its influencing factors are analysed by using the elastic solutions. The result comparison between the theoretical calculation and the field test indicated that the former can well reflect the rule.(3) Based on the anchorage project, selected typical anchor cable for long-term prestresse monitoring, summarized the rule of prestress loss, and through hyperbolic model, predicted that the prestress loss in later stage is in the control area.(4) Using the limit equilibrium method to ananlysis the stability of the slope, access the reinforcement effect of the cables, and research the sensitivity of the main influence factors about slope.(5) According to the long-term deformation monitoring data of the engineering slope, make a comprehensive evaluation of the stability of the slope and the effect of the support.
