Infrared Train Hotbox Detecting System(THDS)is important equipment that ensures the security of railway transportation. The importance lies in preventing the axle from burning and breaking.With the great-leap-forward development in railway transportation, it is an urgent demand to greatly enhance the reliability and accuracy of the conversion for the THDS.The rapid popularity for the THDS-A type Infrared Train Hotbox Detecting System, whose characteristics are intelligence, standardization, digitization, and informatization, is becoming the natural trend. Meanwhile the technological improvement for the system is also an inevitable outcome.This article vividly states the characteristics of the Infrared Train Hotbox Detecting System in detail and analyzes the factors contributing to the reliability and accuracy of the conversion for the system.The author has studied thoroughly the technology for improving the reliability and the accuracy of the conversion. And, the author carries out prospective study in improving the accuracy of the conversion for the axle, by applying the information sharing based all route axle temperature database technology.Chapter one and chapter two state the general development in axle temperature acquisition and the characteristics for THDS-A typed system. Chapter 3 analyses the factors contributing to the reliability and accuracy of the conversion in detail and states the technology for improving the reliability of the system. Chapter four introduces the calculating method of fuzzy mathematics, and carries out the studies in hotbox distinguishing model based on template method and the model based on Fuzzy Statistics.
