The content of this thesis is one part of "Research on the Control System of Mining Flameproof Switched Reluctance Motor"(Serial Number: 07010711), which is supported by the college students innovations special project funded by Taiyuan Science and Technology Bureau. The Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) has the characteristics of simple structure, good starting performance, wide speed range and high efficiency. However, as the electromagnetic characteristic of SRM is of highly nonlinear, it is difficult to be modeled accurately and its performance is difficult to be predicted precisely. This paper applied Least Squares Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) to SRM modeling. An 8/6 pole 1.5kW SRM speed control system platform has been completed. The experimental results show that the LS-SVM modeling method is correct, effective, and the speed control system has good operation performance. The main research contents in this paper are as follows.On the basis of discussing the development status and the existing problems of switched reluctance drive system, the principle of support vector machines, construction methods and the solution method of equations based on LS-SVM are analyzed. The SRM model based on the measured self-inductance characteristics and torque-angle characteristics is established by LS-SVM method. The selection method of optimal kernel parameters is given and the LS-SVM method is compared with the commonly used neural network modeling methods. Then, the control system model is established and simulated. The simulation results and experimental results are compared to verify the correctness of LS-SVM modeling method and simulation model.A redundant split-phase power converter is designed using the Intelligent Power Module (IPM). When one leg or three legs in one side are damaged, the converter can still be used by switching the circuit. The current detection circuit and position detection circuit are improved, and the frequency multiplication circuit using in angle position control, the keyboard circuit for speed given and the speed display circuit are also designed.The converter driving protections interrupt subroutine, the keyboard circuit for speed given subroutine and speed display subroutine are designed by modular programming method. The speed closed-loop control subroutine, current closed-loop control subroutine, speed calculation subroutine and commutation subroutine are improved. In view of the general PI regulator the anti integral saturation PI regulator is designed aiming at the shortcomings of ordinary PI regulator which is easily to be saturated. Different PI parameters are used in different speed range by the method of on-line setting PI parameters. The variable-angle control implementation method and commutation logic control method are proposed, which provide a theoretical basis for the implementation of constant power control strategy.In order to test the operating characteristics of the SRD system, the performance test is completed in the speed control system platform. The tests include load operation test, speed tracking experiment, sudden-added and sudden-decreased load operation test, starting operation rest and allowed output torque test and so on. It has been shown by the experiments that the developed SRD system is of low static error, strong robustness and strong anti-interference ability.
