The lubrication system is a necessary component for the high-power and high-transmission-ratio transmission systems that are used in such important devices as heavy machinery, construction vehicles and aircrafts. Taking an example of the main gear lubrication system of the tilt-rotor discussed in this thesis, the performance of lubrication will be influenced by the movement state and altitude of the aircraft. Therefore, in this thesis the simulation of tilt-rotor reducer lubrication system has been carried out. Establish models of tiltrotor reducer lubrication system, and setup the simulating/anlysis platform to obtain the distribution or variation of pressure and flow of nodes in the lubrication system, and provide theoretical guidance to the initial design.One of the key points of simulation research of lubrication system is creating a reasonable model. This thesis investigates the flow calculation of lubrication system based on mathematical theory, anlyses the physical structure of the reducer and its principle of work, and determines the model components. Then, establish the mathematical model of some main hydraulic components (including:nozzle, pump, pipes, tanks, etc.) within lubrication system. And research the calculation methods under the variation of space altitude.This thesis carries out the research on steady state simulation and transient simulation on the basis of successful modeling. The steady state simulation anlyses the situation of non-tilt, of 45-degree-angle-tilt and of tilt from 0 to 90 degrees. The simulation results show that during the process of tilt the flow rate and especially pressure changes a bit. Generally speaking, these variations do not influence the work of lubrication. After that, the transient simulation has been carried out, which anlyses the effect of opening or closure of valves on the system. The results indicate that the opening and closure of valves induces the hydraulic impact to lubrication system. Finally run the transient simulation under the process of tilting, decovers that the variation of transient response is rather tiny.Meanwhile, this thesis sets up simulation/anlysis platform of lubrication system. The platform combines all the software or modules based on the infrastructure supports provided by COM and dot Net, using Flowmaster as the computing core. Through the interface of GUI Automation and Anlysis Automation, the platform attains the aims of connection, controlling, data processing, display and animation.And in the end, this thesis experiments flow performance of nozzle of hydraulic system and tests the flow rate under different spply pressures. Comparing the results with corresponding simulation results shows the feasibility of the simulation/anlysis methodology of lubrication system.
