Concrete pump truck used as special construction machine plays more and more important part in modernization. Because of the working environment and the influence of operating strength, the health state of the concrete pump truck can not be predicted. Therefore, working conditions and health status of concrete pump truck should be monitored and maintained remotely. And the remote monitor and maintenance system should base on data collection, transmission and treatment. In this paper, base on studies on concrete pump, data transfer module is established using wireless and field bus technology. And data collected has been analyzed. Specific studies include:(1) Structure characteristic of concrete pump truck and desire of data acquisition and transmission system suitable for concrete pump truck has been analyzed. By analyzing a variety of wireless technology and field bus technology, the solution of data transmission based on ZigBee and CAN bus has been carried out.(2) Considering the currently application, some suited components with proper parameters which are calculated are chosen. Based on ZigBee and CAN technology, software and hardware for data transmission system has been designed. With the system, acceleration and obliquity data can be collected using ZigBee and CAN technology.(3) By analyzing free eradiation model of electromagnetic wave, some study on spread rule and the causes of attenuation of electromagnetic wave during transmission in non-free space has been done. Relationship between maximum transmission distance and sensitivity of electromagnetic wave receiving equipments in free eradiation model, "2-ray" model and experiential estimate has been analyzed and compared by simulation. Based on least-squares fitting, wireless transmission model suitable for concrete pump truck has been set up.(4) By experiment, the maximal communication distance under different obstacle condition and system power consumption has been tested. The curve between the link qualities of signal-receiver device with ZigBee and transmission distances was carried out using wireless transmission model based on least-squares fitting.
