Concrete Pump is a kind of specialty vehicle widely used in the current modernization with complex structure. Considering the bad working environment and high difficulty of maintaining, it is of great engineering significance to take appropriate monitoring means to accurately get the operating status information of pump truck so that the pump truck could be safely used and prospectively maintained.The research contents in this paper come from the National High Technology Research and Development program of China " Development of remote application monitoring and maintenance system for concrete pump truck". By combining the analysis of the pump structure, hydraulic system, working load, the cause and the location of frequent malfunction and the characteristics of the working environment, signal collection and transmission technologies of pump truck condition monitoring was studied. Considering the inflexibility of sensor placement, multiple trace, low monitoring efficiency and high cost of current pump monitoring system, the monitoring system which can be used to real-time monitor the running state, alarm failure, automatic record historical data and analyze data for the hardware and software was designed in the LabVIEW development environment by using CAN Bus and ZigBee technology. The standardization for CAN-bus standard and the play-and-plug of the data acquisition and transmission module were fulfilled by using it.The main contents of the degree thesis are as follows:First, the structure features, vibration characteristics, operational characteristics of the hydraulic system and cause and location of frequent malfunction were analyzed. Based on the analysis, the monitoring content was chosen, the layout of the measuring points was drafted and mixed data collection and transmission mode of Zigbee technology and CAN Bus was determined.Second, overall design scheme of concrete pump monitoring system was determined, a set of conditioning unit for strain sensor was designed and the choice of sensor, such as G-sensor, was made. Cable and wireless collection for state parameters of the scene was achieved by hardware platform of pump monitoring system which was built by selecting the appropriate components. And the data communication protocol for application layer of it was devised.Third, software monitoring platform of pump truck monitoring system was built in the LabVIEW development environment, which can fulfill the functions such as monitoring the CAN network site of pump truck, displaying, handling, storing and analyzing the signal conveniently and providing data to decide the state of the pump truck and predict malfunction.Fourth, when applied to monitor the46m concrete pump truck of SANY, the results shows that the monitoring system are of stable performance, high transmission rate and flexible extension. The safety and life of pump truck could be increased.
