The air cycle system of modern aircraft aims at not only providing basic cockpit environment for the pilot and aircrew,but also supplying adequate cooling source for various electronic equipment to keep them in operation with quality temperature and humidity environment as well as realizing heating,pressurization,defogging and de-smoke functions of special equipment.Therefore,the air cycle system is required to be able to precisely and quickly control the air temperature,pressure,flow and humidity under each aircraft status.However,it's impossible or much difficult to simulate in the guound test the aircraft flight status in air and its dynamic changes in particular.Moreover,it takes a lot to carry out all dynamic tests on the real aircraft in terms of period,risk and cost.At this time,the computer simulation offers an economical and time-saving way.Through such simulation of the air cycle system of real aircraft, the system performance can be predicted and evaluated,which provides very useful references to select system concept,decide control proposal and optimize control computation in the early design satge.This paper mainly focuses on the content of simulating control proposal and control method of the air cycle system.It studies dynamic simulation of a real air cycle system on the computer software platform by establishing dynamic simulation models of each system and product and the combining the real test parameters to modify these models.It also explores the improvement on current control method and other aspects by simulating control method of the whole system.This paper intends to provide an auxiliary design method for the air cycle system of modern aircraft as it can expose many problems which are only revealed at the experiment and flight test stages before and identify these problems,to some extents,throught computer simulation at the early concept design stage so as to reduce the cycle and risk of the whole project.
