Guided Wave Radar Level Meter is an intelligent instrument. With the rapid development of computer technology, Guided Wave Radar Level Meter becomes to be practical applications. In the petrochemical industry, warehousing, pharmaceutical and other industries, China's current level measurement systems always have the problems of large errors, medieval testing technological and so on. Guided Wave Radar Level Meter is a new kind of level measurement instrument which use the spread of electromagnetic waves to achieve the measurement. Guided Wave Radar Level Meter is characterized by anti-jamming performance, high-temperature and high-pressure endurable, inert gas such as measurable. And its measurement is more accurate, good anti-aging, easy installation and long service life. It is based on TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) principle, using contact measurement method to achieve the level measurement. It uses contact measurement method to achieve the level measurement.This issue designed by Guided Wave Radar Level Meter is a new type of microcontroller-based liquid level measurement system. Based on low-power, security, intelligent standards, we used MSP430F149 MCU which is produced by Texas Instruments Company and is micro-power, high-performance as the core of control system. We also designed the LCD display to interface with buttons to operate. The whole system has a simple structure, and also security and stability, easy operation and low power. The application prospect of Guided Wave Radar Level Meter is very broad.This task is the completion of a Guided Wave Radar Level Meter signal processing module design.In this paper, first we discuss the background, development status and a simple summary. And then, we can conclude the significance of level measurement instrumentation to the industrial applications. Second we describe the Guided Wave Radar Level Meter measurement principles and measurement methods, and the subject of Guided Wave Radar Level Transmitter features to be achieved, as well as a detailed statement of the technical requirements. Third, we describe not only the detailed introduction of the overall design and the hardware circuits of several main modules for, but also analysis of the module's capabilities. Fourth, we describe the software implementation of the overall block diagram and the sub-module programming. Finally we conclude the field test data of the instrument and curves, and make analysis and summary.Through the field debugging and testing data of the instrumentation we obtained, it shows that, the Guided Wave Radar Level Meter we designed can work stable with high precision, in line with the technical requirements of the practical application.
