Towards the end of the 19th century, Chinese began to develop own calorimeter. Chinese-made battery-powered calorimeter really go out of the laboratory and into the actual installation environment trial in the Early Period of the 21st Century, after two or three years of practical application of science in industry, Chinese calorimeter manufacturers summed up a lot of practical experience. Calorimeter mainly be composed of the flow sensor, temperature sensor and integrator component. This time with the rapid development of electronic technology, the calorimeter integrator component has been mastered by the majority of manufacturers, so we began the study focused on the calorimeter to improve the measurement accuracy, mainly to improve flow measurement and temperature measurement accuracy.The design of low power nonmagnetic calorimeter in this paper, which is an application of LC flow sensor and low power MCU MSP430 within the rotating scanning module SCANIF to measure the flow, avoiding the interference caused by magnetic field.And the system selects 24-bit high-accuracy AD conversion chip ADS1248 and platinum thermistor for measuring the temperature, to improve the precision instrument. We use low-power MSP430FW427 to control and calculate the calories. It communicates with the remote terminal system through M-BUS interface.And we ensure the accuracy of measurement algorithms and discuss other issues.This article describes the development and the industry analysis of the calorimeter, affirmes the importance of the calorimeter in the process of industrial development and the necessity of designing new calorimeter. We raises the overall design of non-magnetic calorimeter program according to realize the function of the calorimeter. After, we focuses on the hardware circuit design of the non-magnetic calorimeter, and specifically describe the flow measurement, temperature measurement, control and heat calculation module, serial communications and other main modules. Then we describe the development of software components of the non-magnetic calorimeter, software uses a modular programming, easy to debug and upgrade. In the end, we know the system measurement accuracy good with the analysis of data obtained from the system debug. And talking about the parameters needed to set up and installation issues.Through the introduction of the article, it is clear understanding of the non-magnetic calorimeter designs and processes. It is simple structure, low power consumption, high precision measurement, overall performance has reached the expected goal, and the small size and user-friendly convenient.
