Bus Ic Data Bus Traffic Analysis

Bus traffics are important basic information for transportation planning and bus scheduling, which not only provide the basis for the daily bus schedule, but also for the public transportation network optimization. With the expansion of city size, bus routes and sites are on the rise, and the frequent changes have brought many difficulties to the traditional manual method of investigating bus traffic. Traditional manual methods of investigation cost manpower, material resources, and the findings are affected by various factors and constraints which lead not to reflect the dynamics of the long-term changes in urban public transport travel trends.Currently, public transportation IC card is widely used in many major cities in China, and the scale of using is very large. Obtaining bus IC card data is true, accurate, economical and reliable; therefore, traffic analysis which is based on the bus IC data card has become the research hotspot. Bus IC card data analysis's goal is to obtain bus traffic by bus passenger recording data card information, including line flow, site flow, the total passenger flow, passenger flow in the temporal and spatial distribution. But the bus IC data generally includes card number, credit card time, amount, vehicle code and line number of vehicles and so on.,This makes the bus scheduling models usually not use the public transportation IC card data in the database directly.This paper analyzes problems in the bus IC data card analysis and is based on Kunming bus IC card data to carry out bus traffic analysis and research, the main research contents include:(1) Analysis data collection methods and processes of public transportation IC card swiping, and bus IC data card containing basic information.(2) Propose the analysis method of bus traffics which is based on bus IC card data, bus scheduling data and spatial data of public transportation network , in detail illustrate the process of the method, including data acquisition, data preprocessing, data analysis and analysis of results.(3) Propose the analysis method based on IC card information and bus basic information system about with regard to on the train site, off site and transfer site. The method combines with Bayesian methods, maximum likelihood estimation method, dynamic programming, coordinate descent public transportation, etc. Finally we can get road time distribution of public transport section.(4) The above method is applied to data analysis in Kun Ming bus IC card, the analysis results of bus lines and site traffics are given and the results are compared to actual survey.The results show that the analysis method in this paper the bus traffics based on bus IC card data, which can effectively infer bus passengers on the bus site, off site and transfer site in order to get bus traffic information and provide decision support for transportation planning and scheduling.
