Studies On Characters Of Two-line Hybrid Rice And Fertility Of Ptgms Line In Sichuan

The experiment selected eleven varities including five photo-thermo sensitive genetic male sterile lines(Peiai64S, C815S, Guangzhan63S, H155S, P88S) and six restorer line (Fuhui838, Louhui17, Chenghui177, Yihui3551, Chenghui448, Puhui85). Traits of 27 hybrid combinations were studied by the way of pxq incomplete diallel cross NC(Ⅱ) design. The experiment mainly analyzed quality traits and agronomic traits of F1 hybrids in Climatic conditions of Chengdu Plain. In addition, combining with the local weather data for reference year, analyzed fertility performance of six PTGMS(photo-thermo sensitive genetic male sterile) lines at different times, from which to explore technologies of PTGMS lines'breeding and production in Sichuan. at the same time,studied the performance of six imported hybrid combinations on agronomic traits. The sults showed:1.The choice of PTGMS line and restorer is critical in breeding and utilization about the High-yielding hybrid rice. Facts have proved that:As representatives of sterile line and restore line, P88S and Chenghuil77 can be chosen to prepare for the two-line hybrid rice combination with high-yielding and fine quality and extensive adaptability, with benefiting from breeding late-maturing combination of hybrid rice.2. As a whole, quality of two-line hybrid rice is better than quality ofⅡ-you 838, but in the chalky grain rate and chalkiness,amylase content and other key technical indicators, its indicators is dissatisfied. Analysis of data shows that:As representatives of PTGMS lines with two-line hybrid rice combination, H155S have higher brown rice rate and milled rice rate in quality, its lower chalky rates and amylose content are ideal.3. The authorized two-line hybrid combinations at middle and lower Region of the Yangtze River valley is difficult in the large-scale use of Sichuan.increasing the varieties of grain weight, moderate reduction of effective panicles per unit area, reasonable increasing in the grain number of the varieties per panicle, improving plants light-use pattern of the varieties are conducive to high-yield income.4. Fertility of PTGMS is unstable in Sichuan, its utilization is unsafe.5 PTGMS lines are no obvious consecutive-infertility period of more than 20 days. With their timely bagging,they were shown varying degrees of self-seed setting rate, and were unsuitable for seed production the Sichuan province, too. 5. Planting of two-line hybrid combinations is easy on cultivation. On the contrary, it is difficulty about production of PTGMS line and hybrid combinations. With completely utilized about two-line hybrid combinations of Sichuan province,the infertility's starting temperature of PTGMS line is crucial about application technology in Sichuan.
