With the development of large-scale livestock and poultry breeding, the pollution of animal wastes have brought a serious threat to the environment.Untreated livestock manure is discharged into water and soil directly , which not only pollutes the water environment, atmospheric environment and soil environment , but also is a threat to the health of humans and other animals. Jiaxing City is a city of large pig breeding.Only the amount of slaughter pigs in the South Lake District reaches nearly 2 million yearly. As a result,the manure discharged by them caused serious environmental problems.Livestock pollution problem is listed as key provincial environmental problem to be supervised.At present, the way of aerobic composting manure is the most effective means to make use of livestock and poultry manure.In addition,pig-litter-system is also a method available to make a reduction of the animal manure. However, commercial microbial agent available for compost and pig-litter-system are so expensive, varies of quality and so on.These reasons limit the application of their local promotion.As to the present situation of the livestock pollution of Jiaxing City,the measures of resources recovery and quantitative reduction seem so urgent.This article is based on the limited factors of the application of organic compost and pig-litter-system,the study of urban microbial agent with a low price.Such studies are done as followed:⑴The research on liquid compound microbial agents:We selected the urban mature compost as the agents species, using the technology of screening, isolation, purification, formulation, mixing fermentation in order to develop a kind of liquid compoud microbial agent to adapt to the local compost and pig-litter-system. Also we developed the corresponding economic, rational and simple production processes. At present, the agents can achieve a subculture of 50 multiple, which greatly reduced the cost of the agents.⑵The research on the application of compoud microbial agents to pig manure compost:The field trial of pig manure compost is done in Xinzhu organic fertilizer cooperatives of Jiaxing City.This trial was divided into winter trial and summer trial.The experimental group was inoculated of self-made microbial agent with a subculture of 50 multiple,while the control group was inoculated of a kind of commercial agent which is used in this cooperative for a long time with good reputation.The results showed that the agent made by ourselves could meet the requirements of pig manure compost, and it was able to reduce the composting time of 5 to 8 days compared to the commercial agent. Otherwise, the fertilizer product could be saved more easily due to its lower water content.⑶The research on the application of compoud microbial agents to pig-litter-system:The field trial of winter pig-litter-system was done in Fuxing animal husbandry of Jiaxing City.This trial studied the effect of the application of lab-made microbial agents in pig-litter-system compared to the ordinary cement ground pig breeding style. In comparation ,the environment of the pig house using the pig-litter-system is improved significantly;the concentration of ammonia was significantly reduced;the feed conversion ratio of the pigs decreased.⑷The research on the beddings-replacement in pig-litter-system:The field trial of beddings-replacement in pig-litter-system was done in Dunqi animal husbandry of Jiaxing City.The control group was done according to the normal beddings ratio, while the experimental groups were added by 10%, 20% and 30% rice straw respectively to have a replacement of the sawdust in normal bedding materials. The sinking speed of the bedding,the temperature changes,and the decomposition of the manure were studied in this trial.The results showed that the partial substitution of sawdust with rice straw is feasible,which the most appropriate ratio of replacement is 20%.
