The technology of immobilization of different cells takes advantage of the beneficial interaction of different stains and stability of immobilization. Due to the higher activity and the more stability, The technology has been widely used in water treatment. But it hasnꊰ been reported that the technology is used in water treatment in culture pond. The study of the interaction between PSB and heterophic bacteria that has higher activity in degrading protein revealed the relationship of synergism. Through the improvement of both the preparation and the methods of application, the mixed bacteria cells entrapped by a co-immobilization material of PVA-Unwove cloth is first used in water treatment in culture pond and better effects of the immobilized PSB-i-H on the purification of water quality were achieved. The results showed that the abundance of PSB co-cultured with Strain H was 2.26 times higher than that in axenic culture. 60%PSB and 40% H has the highest efficiency of NH3-N; Four kinds of immobilized carrier were tested. The result shows the mixed bacteria cells entrapped by a co-immobilization material of PVA-Unwove cloth containing 3% permutite was better than others. During the experiments Strain H has different effects on PSB due to the different conditions of culture. The proper methods of activating immobilized cells and the usage periods were also studied. In the prawns pond the experiments in the water of 280L were carried out. NH3-N and COD were reduced respectfully by 80.2% and 76.1%.
