A probationary assessment of environmental safety of 0.2% Celangulins EC was conducted systematically. The preliminary results showed that, the toxicities of the pesticides to mammalian, bird, fish, silkworm, bee, ladybug, grog, earthworm and soil microbes were low, according to the grade standards of pesticide toxicity on each non-target organisms. Its mobility in four tested soils were moderate and weak, and its half life in three tested soils were not more than ten days.1 Toxicity on Non-target OrganismsThe oral LD50 to rat was 681mg/kg, and the dermal LD50 was more than 2000mg/kg. The EC had low toxicity on rat and low-grade irritation to skin and eyes of rabbit. The oral LD50 on quails were 2885.6mg/kg and 2800.8mg/kg to female and male respectively. There were no quails died during the 17 days' periodic increasing administrating, accumulative coefficient was more than 5.9. The acute and accumulative toxicities of the EC were low on bird. The LC50 on fries of red crucian carp and tadpole were 171.13mg/L and 72.77mg/L respectively, the coefficient of ground bait were 5.84 and 13.74. The EC had low toxicity on fish and frog. The LC50 on silkworm was 3277.33mg/L determined by touch route, and the coefficient of ground bait was 0.30. The toxicity of the EC was low on silkworm, but the yield and quality of the pod declined because of the EC's strong antifeedant effect on silkworm. The LC50 on Apismelliferal L were 1659.96mg/L and 9213.06mg/L by intake and spraying methods, the coefficient of ground bait were 0.60 and 0.11. The toxicity of the EC was low on bee.The LC50 on ladybug were 1893.24mg/L by intaking and 1948.65mg/L by spraying, the coefficient of ground bait were 0.53 and 0.51. The toxicity of the EC was low on ladybug. The LC50 on Eisenia foelide were 1882.37mg/kg for the 1st day and 1680.55mg/kg for the 3rd day in the standard compositive soil, and that of in natural soil were 2177.94mg/kg and 2178.78mg/kg. The coefficient of ground bait were 0.53,0.59,0.45 and 0.45 in-orderly. The soil respiration was activated by the EC in later stage except for the high concentration disposal(100mg/L) in rice soil . The EC50 of the EC to fungi were 1499.33mg/L, 859.64mg/L and 902.53mg/L in-orderly in three tested soils, and that of to actinomyces were 1217.23mg/L, 1168.48mg/L and 1286.98mg/L. The azotobacter can grow and multiplicate in the culture medium mixed with the EC of 20000mg/L. The EC was a pesticide with low toxicity on microbes in soils.2 Behavior of The 0.2% Celangulins EC in the Soil Environment The Freundlish equation were Cas=2.546Caw0.771, Cbs=2.935Cbw0.945, Ccs=3.063Ccw0.733 and Cds=25.23Cdw1.77 in four tested soils, and the movement were moderate, moderate, moderate and weak. There was no possibility for the EC to contaminate the groundwater. The dynamic equation of degradation were Cxt=5.00e0.00347t, Cct=5.07e0.00414t and Cst=5.26e0.00419t in three tested soils, and the half lives were 199.75h, 167.43h and 165.43h respectively. The EC was easily degradated by soil microbes, there was no likelihood to enrich in soil.
