The stability of sugar-beet often decides the popular value and the productive results. Sugar beet grows in many regions in the world, the ecological environment is different. It is important for the breeding of sugar-beet to fit in the different regions. And the variety s stability is a target for it. This study provide a comprehensive method to determine the stability of a sugar beet variety. It shows that the method is objective and overall for determining the stability of a sugar-beet variety. First, advance the new concept of a variety s stability . It is to adjust by person the expression of a variety (includes changing the genotype and relative frequency in a group) or keep the phenotpye in changing environment (includes keep its component original genotype and relative frequency to suit for that its yield and economic properties keep relatively stable in different regions and years. The variety s stability is divided into static and motional.Secondly, advance the of variety s stability. Its crux is the cushion of a variety in a motional environment .It has two obvious Ways to gain the variety s stability, they are individual and group's.Thirdly, advance the method of determining variety's stability.1. According to the varieties' average yield and coefficient of phenotype variation, divided them into groups.2. According to the method of environment variance, it is for expressing the static stability of a variety.3. According to the interaction of genes and environment. Effect of the ecology;Stability variance.4. According to genetic expression and the linear regression of environment, advanced a stable parameter.The method of Finlay and Wilkinson: The method of Eberhart-Russcll.5.The method of deciding coefficient.6.The method of un-coefiicient stability analysis-I luhu and Nussar.In tltis paper, the system of. DPS data treatment is used for the yield .sugar content and sugar yield of the five variety in the different trials .the results show as follow :on the yield ,the varieties A, G, D are best or better .the E ,F ,B are ordinary .and the C. H are bad ;On the sugar content the varieties H, D, are best, the B, A, F are good or better, the G ,E are ordinary and the C is bad one ;On the sugar yield , the variety A is best .the G, Dare better ,the B, F, E are ordinary .the C is not good ,the H is poor .On the basis of this ,use the method of Eberhar-Russell to evaluate further .The principle of Eberhart-Russell is as follow:According the interaction principle of gene X environment. Provide two parameters to determine the stability of variety, the data for environment is called parameter of response, its estimated data is regression coefficient (bi),the deviation (S2di)is called parameter of stability.Eberhart-Russell explained the two parameters as follow: if bi=0 S2di=0, the variety is stable. Therefore, if the heterogeneity of S2di and 0 is not significant, so the linear correlation of the variety between environment is tenable.On the basis of that if all the big b figures and Ij change one unit, the Y figures rise up too, So variety is planted in suitable field, to give full pky to its productive potential, every smaller S2di b figures, for example. b=l. shows that the response of variety between environment is small, and has extensive adaptability.If b figure is negative, the response of the variety between environment, it has extensive adaptability. Thus it can be used to forecast the variety s expression and even,' variety which can be used b figure to forecast is called stability variety, therefore the stability means forecastable.Otherwise, if the heterogeneity of S2di and 0 is significant that shows genes X environment interaction, the variety and environment is not linear con-elation and mustbe study further.This method is used to gain finally the regression coefficient (hi) and deviation (S2di) on the basis of the experiment's economic properties, yield, sugar content and sugar yield.
