Large Cherry Tree, A New Viral Pathogen Morphology And Molecular Biology Identified

An unknown virus isolated from Prunus avium L. was inoculated into chenopodium quinoa to reproduce in large number .Then the virus was extracted and purified for observing by electronic microscope and sequencing. The results showed that this virus is strip and about 750-800nm length .The molecular weights of its two kinds of coat protein are 36KDa and 31 KDa separately .Its RNA is about 9kb length .At the same time ,A 3.5kb cloned fragment was sequenced and its sequence was compared with the corresponding fragment of CYVV: The result showed that their sequence homology is 97.32%.When compared to the cop's amino acid sequence, their sequence homology is 98.5%. All these results together proved that this virus is CYVV.
