It could be concluded that the optimum collecting time of stems and leaves was on September.The monomer ginsenoside of different ages stems and leaves were studies firstly through HPLC and the accumulating regulation of the monomer ginsenoside in fruits had been concluded: the content of ginsenoside Re was the highest all the time in fruits, and all ginsengosides from June 26th to July 27th, it reached the minimum onJuly 20th and rose rapidly later, it could reached the maximum content on August 7th mature time. The author thinks that the flesh fruits after being rubbed are valuable sources, because of high ginsenoside content.The contents of ginsenosides, monomer ginsenosides and sugar in the roots of four, five, six years were studied. It indicated that the changes were different among the roots of each year. Ginsenosides and starches increased along with the years. Ginseng being collected from April to June had the most ginsenoside.Monomer ginsenosides were different in different years. Ginsenoside Rb, Re, Rg reached maximum on April Re, Rd on May Rh2 on September in four years ginseng. Ginsenoside Rb, Re, Rd, Re, Rg, Rh2 reached maximum on April in five years ginseng, ginsenoside Rb, Re, Rd, Re, Rg, Rh2 reached maximum on May in six years ginseng.Ginseng collected in different time and produced in different methods was studied by HPLC and other methods. It indicated that six years ginseng should be collected from September 1st to 11th, because of high drying ratio, content of starch and ginsenosides, monomer ginsenoside and good quality of production. Sun-dried ginseng and red ginseng had bad quality with prolong of growing time and the content of starch decreasing. So ginseng should be collected from September 1st to 11th, which were planted according the regulations in Fusong.The method of reduced buds in the field was studied through keeping the around buds and taking off the central buds.It had higher quality and yield than the other methods and five years ginseng.
