Neosporiasis is a kind of ectosarc disease caused by neospora canium parasitizes in various kinds of livestock such as dog, cattle, horse, and sheep. This disease can bring serious detriments of cattle. It is primarily causative agent of abortion, stillbirth and the motor nervous system disease of nascent calf in cattle. At present, the research on neosporosis has become popular in the veterinary parasitology field of exterior and interior of country, although initial research begins in our country.This research took Neospora caninum Nc-1 isolated strain of America that was cultured on Vero cells as antigen, which was invested on the slides, and took cattle resistance of rabbit IgG signed by fluorescein siothibcyanate (FITC) as anti-antibody. So the indirect fluorescent antibody tests (IFAT) method was developed. The research condition of IFAT had fumbled, making sure the best working condition. The results showed that the optimal working dilute concentration of neospora caninum was 5×10~3 to 5×10~4/ml. FITC cattle resistance of rabbit IgG (H+C) the optimal working dilute concentration of FITC-cattle resistance of rabbit was 1:80. The optimal working dilute concentration of need testing blood serum was 1:200. The crossing reaction experiment and repetition experiment showed that the diagnosis method of IFAT was differential. Repeatability was well. This experiment diagnostic method could detect large number of samples, which had determinate directed significance to the monitoring of the Neosporiasis epidemic situation.Taking use of the IFAT method to check up 1 091 serum of cattle in 21 areas of Jilin province for the serum antibody of cattle neospora canium. It was the first time to investigate the neosporiasis of cattle for servey of epidemiology in Jilin province areas. The result showed that in 1 091 serum of cattle there were 189 neospora caninum positive antibodies of serum, the total serum percent was 17. 32%. Comparing the tested results of serum sample by different areas, sexes, ages, and fetal order respectively, as results, there was no obvious difference on infection instance of cattle neospora canium on sex, age and fetal order. But there was a little difference in different areas. It was consistent compared with the current report on the investigation of epidemiology.
