Object:Chinese medicine acupuncture theory as a guide to "5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake" caused by the earthquake-stricken areas of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) patients as the research object, multi-center, large sample, randomized controlled clinical study method, the electric needle Point PTSD treatment efficacy and safety of scientific evaluation, to screen out the advantages of acupuncture treatment for PTSD, the clinical and secondary prevention of PTSD provide a new method.Methods:Using completely randomized, controlled clinical research methods, set the electric needle point treatment group and western medicine (paroxetine) number of cases in the control group ratio of 1:1, will meet PTSD diagnostic criteria,138 patients were randomized to a treatment group and control group sample size was 69 patients. Treatment group and control group of 69 cases. Treatment group, continuous treatment for 12 weeks, a total of 36 times. Control group, paroxetine 20mg, oral once every night, taking 12 weeks of continuous, uninterrupted rest. Before treatment,6 weeks,12 weeks,3 months after treatment,6 months follow-up, clinical monitoring with PTSD Scale (CAPS);Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD);Hamilton Anxiety volume Table (HAMA) in clinical treatment of the three scales to evaluate the efficacy of, Side effects with treatment scale (TESS) on the safety of clinical evaluation, and data were analyzed statistically.Results:Treatment group and control group in improving clinical symptoms in patients with PTSD were significantly different (P<0.05);the treatment group and control group comparison effect:two groups CAPS, HAMD, HAMA total score change was no significant difference (P>0.05), two groups CAPS, HAMD, HAMA reduction rate changes were significantly different (P<0.05).Conclusion:Electric needle point and taking medicine paroxetine therapy are effective treatment of PTSD, the safety of acupuncture treatment of PTSD better than drugs. This study options for the treatment of PTSD treatment to provide a scientific basis.
