| Objective:By observing and comparing electro-acupuncture treatment group and western medicine treatment group of patients with anxiety disorders after stroke, to compare those two methods'efficacy of merits of this disease, and their respective advantages and disadvantages Method:Hospitalized patients of Guang An Men Hospital during March 2010 to Oct 2010 who were consistent with the diagnosis of anxiety disorder after stroke were chosen as research objects. By using a prospective randomized controlled clinical study design, and in accordance with the block method to generate random numbers and random groups, and randomly assigned to program were kept in sealed envelopes, within the envelope distribution program will group the patients met the inclusion criteria into acupuncture group 18 cases and Western group 16 cases. Which acupuncture group were treated with acupuncture and electro-acupuncture, and western medicine group received standardized treatment with oral paroxetine hydrochloride. Both of the two groups were treated for four weeks. After a course of treatment, with each other before and after the control and self-control, evaluation of the efficacy difference between the two groups.Result:After a course of treatment, acupuncture group and western medicine group both had significant effects, and the efficacy between acupuncture and western medicine has no significant different (P>0.05). However, both treatments have their own advantages in different ways, such as in the aspect of improving somatic anxiety symptoms and quality of sleep, acupuncture group is better than the Western medicine; in the aspect of improving mental anxiety symptoms, the western medicine group was better than acupuncture group.Conclusion:The treatment of PSAD by using acupuncture and electro-acupuncture or regularly taken oral paroxetine hydrochloride both can provide satisfactory outcome, and the effect of the two methods is almost the same, but treatment by taken oral western medicine had a rapid and significant effect in improving the mental and emotional symptoms of the patients. Acupuncture treatment was better in improving physical symptoms and quality of sleep of the patients. |
