To investigate the level of serum platelet-derived growth factor-D and the expression of PDGF-D on placenta tissues from preeclampsia and discuss its possible roles in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.2. To compare the expression of PDGF-D in serums and placentas from early- and late-onset preeclampsia and discuss its possible roles in the pathogenesis of early preeclampsia.Methods20 normal pregnant women and 40 women with severe preeclampsia (11 with early-onset and 29 with late-onset PE) were enrolled in this study. The serum PDGF-D levels were measured with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and the expression of PDGF-D mRNA in the placenta was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR).Results1. The level of serum PDGF-D in the preeclampsia group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).2. The expression of PDGF-D on placenta tissues was higher in the preeclampsia group than that in the control group (P<0.05).3. In preeclampsia group, there was positive correlation between the level of serum PDGF-D and the expression of PDGF-D on placenta tissues(r=0.328,p<0.05).4. There was no significant differences in the level of serum PDGF-D or the expression of PDGF-D on placenta tissues between the early and late-onset severe preeclampsia(P>0.05). Conclusion1. Elavated levels of PDGF-D in placenta and serum maybe involved in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia and play an important role in the pathophysiology of preeclampsia.2. The early and late-onset preeclampsia groups didn't show significant differences in the expression of PDGF-D, suggesting that both of them maybe have the same nosogenesis. | Keywords/Search Tags: | platelet-derived growth factor-D, preeclampsia, early-onset preeclampsia, placenta, atherosclerosis | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
