Studies On The Chemical Constituents Of Heliciopsis Lobata

Heliciopsis lobata is a plant belonging to the genus Heliciopsis(Proteaceae), which is distributed widely in the middle of Hainan Island in China.It is exclusively used as a herbal medicine in Li folk region.The EtOH extract of this plant showed cytotoxic activity in vitro.In this thesis,eighteen constituents were isolated from the leaves of Heliciopsis lobata by column chromatographic methods using silica gel,alumina,polyamide,and Sephadex LH-20 and PTLC,etc.Structures of fourteen compounds were elucidated on the basis of chemical evidence and spectral analysis.Fourteen compounds were identified as 6'-((E)2-hydroxymethyl-2-butenylacyl)arbutin(1),6'-((E)4-hydroxycinnamoyl) arbutin(2),6'-((E)2,5-dihydroxycinnamoyl)arbutin(3),myricetin(4), myricitrin(5),syringetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(6),quercetin(7), (-)-medioresinol(8),grevillone(9),grevillic acid(10),D-l-O-methyl-myo-inositol (11),hydroquinone(12),β-sitosterol(13)and daucosterol(14).Among them, compound 3 is a new compound,and compounds 4～8,11～13 were isolated from this genus for the first time.
