Children's discovery and the creation of children's literature is a historic process of social construction. The development of the opinions about Chinese children and children's literature in the early twentieth century was carried out by the interactivity, what is composed of social powers and social values, under a particular social environment. We can see it is a process of adult community's self-reflection and self-reconstruction, through study the evolution of the opinions about Chinese children and children's literature in the last years of Qing Dynasty, the early years in Republic of China and the May 4th. In other words, the opinions about children and children's literature are the outcome of the interactivity between social values, and a reflection of adult community's ego-ideal. So, there has an important significance to study the evolution of the opinions about Chinese children and children's literature:what are adult's intention and social values behind the opinions about children and children's literature, and how actions they played. And this significance will explore by study the sequence of historical documents.
