This thesis comprehensively tries to make a systematic investigation of the reform thoughts of the bad habits put forward by the missionaries in China Late Qing Dynasty, which is based on the main sources of information about the bad habits reports in Chinese Globe Magazine. With the combination of time background and the western Christian culture, this thesis is to explore the implicit values and tendency mainly, including its impact on modern China of reform thoughts of the bad habits. And we draw a conclusion that the reform thoughts are full of strong religious tinges and strong colonial mentality. Meanwhile, the reform thoughts are progressive in some way, which boost the modernization process of the reform of the bad habits in China.
