On The Impact Of The Sparse Drawing Style On The Traditional Figure Painting And Its Aesthetic Origins

This paper mainly discusses the sparse drawing style and its style features that generated on the period of Wei, Jin, Nanbei dynasties, and analyzes and discusses in the way of the figure painting the function and effect resulted by the impact of the SHUTI drawing style on the formation of Ink Painting. And the reference documents and material pictures also reveal and explain the relationship that exists between them.This article is divided into three chapters. The first chapter generally describes the development of drawing features that gernerated because of the changes of aesthetic thought on the period of Wei, Jin, Nanbei dynasties. Then it analyzes and studies the drawing style of"the Three Prestigious Drawer of Six Dynasties", and makes the distinction between Sparse Style and Dense Style . Chapter II presents the condition that the figure painters inherit and carry forward the Sparse Style, and the drawing style and brushwork characteristic of the important promoter Wu Daozi are also analyzed and discussed. It further shows the readers the line and pen features of the Sparse style. And by the presentation of aesthetic changes in the late Tang, initially reveals the correlation that exist between sparse style painting and freehand drawing. In the third chapter, through the introduction of the cultural atmosphere of the Song Dynasty, the aesthetic thought, and the development of figure paiting, it demonstrates in-depth and in detail, the role and influnce that the Sparse style impact on the pen ink painting portrait, once again reveals the close relationship that exists between the two, and affirms the historical significance of the sparse style.
