Personality test is often used in different fields to discriminate individuals. The validity of test would decrease because of subjects'motivation and attitudes. Psychologists have been trying to solve the problem and to estimate the responses of the subjects effectively. Although the answer reaction time can be used as the validity of personality test, but it is not feasible for large-scale group test. We can also add some new tests to reduce the influence of the social desirability. Digital Search test (FST) is designed for estimate individuals'tension extent and reaction ability. The investigation between SCL-90 and searching number had showed that the recruits with dumps and psychosis had lower ability, which suggests that searching number play an assistant role in selecting people. This research use FST to find out what's the 16PF's the missing rate has very important meaning though adding 16PF to FST.We chose volunteers from different grades. Including 803 freshmen,663 graduates and 287 senior students. Using DXC-6 psychometric instrument which developed by Department of Aerospace Medical Equipment, Faculty of Aerospace Medicine, Fourth Military Medical University to test the volunteers. The result of the scores and reaction time in 16pf and FST were analyzed, compared the reaction time of 16pf between the low and the high groups, grouping by scores of FST. To Find out the relationship between FST and 16PF, to discuss the effect of FST be used in personality test.The main results are as follows:(1) Compared the between the students of three graduates, we can see the senior students did the best in the FST, then the graduates and the freshman did the worst an used the longest time. My effected easily by the social desirability answer and the motive,(2) According to 16PF, we get different psychology health level. The freshman is the best than other people in mental health, and the graduate may be affected by motivational effect whose mental health is a little lower than other people .(3) According to answer time research of 16PF tests, the senior students have the shortest answer time, then the freshman and the graduate have the longest time.(4) According to the results of 16PF and FST, we found that the freshman and the graduate are affected by the personality factor, except for the senior students. It indicated that there was some relationship between the level of metal health and cognizing ability.(5) The result of 16PF test show that steady character, permanent character and self-discipline character can effect the answer time obviously.(6) After divided the high 27% volunteers and low 27% volunteers into two groups, we can find the second group answer time is longer than first. Conclusion: 16PF is widely used to evaluate mental health. But its has no validity and is easily affected by society expect answer and motive. Therefore, answer time is used as latitude to undergo analyses inspection, also used as the guide line of checking the individuals. Because that perceive ability and mental health level have something to do with each other, striking up the relation between searching number and 16PF examination is very important. Searching number has showed people's tension degree to an extent, and also has advantages of fewer subjects, shorter time. If we add this ability test to 16PF examination as mental evaluation's basic filter measure, we will reduce the leaking ratio effectively.
