On The Value Realization Of Ideological And Political Education In Handling Breaking Public Events

The frequent occurrence of breaking public events has been exposured under spotlight nowadays and no one can deny its existence and escape from it. Due to its abruptness, unpredictability, extensiveness, destructiveness, temporariness and exigency and so on, all these features set up the social crisis circumstance, amplifying the destructive effects of the crisis and giving immeasurable psychological trauma to common people. The negative effects on society given rise from breaking public events bring the education in ideology and politics under great challenge. However, the education itself has demonstrated its substantial value in playing a great role in giving scientific prediction, steering policy and public opinions and conducts in the right course, helping one find the outlet for emotion garbage and make balance psychologically, inspiriting and consociating people from different groups. Therefore, ideological and political education should be introduced in the course of dealing with breaking public events as soon as possible. A great amount of experiences has been gained in the proceeding of breaking public events, but it still has a long way to go. More work should be done before the ideological and political education plays its full role in handling breaking public events. First, more attention should be paid to the guidance of public opinions, and never stray away from the socialist core values system. Second, humanistic care and affinity should be highlighted.
