Application And Study Of The New Transmission Technology About Otn+ptn In All Ip Network

The transport network, as one of the three major supporting networks, is gaining more and more attention, at current. Transport network has to do much more work than ever before in the rapid development of telecommunications. According to the telecommunication services, mobile services and data services are divided. Transport network has to be constructed as the integrated transport platform for both types of services.In this paper, the network statuses of China Unicom and China Netcom are described first. Their network structures and evolution trends are quite different from each other because of their different telecommunication services. The biggest problem is how to integrate the two different transport networks, after the merger of China Unicom and China Netcom. According to the guidelines of building an integrated transport network to provide full-service, the transport network and other infrastructure networks are requested to integrate, and to make necessary changes in the new environment.How to build a transport network which can provide reliable services for both the mobile communications and data communications is the very issue. We need to analyze the different types of services and the current statuses of the two different networks, research the trends of future services, and develop new ways to construct new transport network.The future transport network will carry both mobile communication and data communication, and its requirement of bandwidth is much greater, so it can provide higher transfer rates. For different services, the protection is differentiated, and QOS is diversified. To do this, the latest transport technologies are employed, such as MSTP, FTTX, PTN, OTN, IP RAN, to power up the transport network.In this paper, based on the proposed transport model, the details of a specific network are analyzed. Considering its fiber network, pipeline network and other infrastructure networks, an integrated transport network which fits the local and future development is developed. The newly developed integrated transport network is highly agreed by guangdong company of China Unicom. And it has become a target network of an under constructing three-year planning. This provides a very good experience and exploration for building an integrated transport network platform for south branch companies of China Unicom.
