At present, as the country works on the the West-East electricity transmission project and high voltage, ultra high voltage power grid construction is in the strong investment, the demand of market for the angle steel tower products has been increasing. However, the rapid development of market economy makes the whole processing industry of the angle steel tower become more increasingly competitive. This competition requires changes in the pattern of manufacturing tower in terms of tower lofting product design, and significantly shortened production and delivery cycles. The traditional method of production management is unable to adapt to this fast-paced change. Therefore, in order to win the market, seize opportunities, and rapidly response to market demand, processing enterprises must stake out the existing tower, production organization, technology and management methods to improve and optimize processes. Now many companies are still applying the traditional tower methods and management experience, tower has not only seriously affected the progress of production efficiency and processing, but also restricted the production and management level. Further improvement can not be shared without processing information. Poor communication results in the processing of unnecessary waste of resources.This thesis bases on product data management (PDM: Product Data Management) concept and content, and investigates enterprises in the production of the tower at the aspects of organization, processing procedures, data processing and information-sharing and so on. The study includes manufacturing process for the tower on the blueprint of the loft, under the optimization of steel materials, and production process card. The production of business management in the progress monitoring tower, tower sharing and inquiries, product information and other aspects of information management for process improvement and optimization are also studied in the thesis. Since the current lack of a complete tower manufacturing system from design to installation in tower project management and production management, this thesis also proposes a tower manufacturing processes based on PDM-based sub-project management, process management, materials management, production management and personnel management. This thesis selects the module of cutting optimization which has a strategic position in the system as a key subject, and describes the background analysis, current research and algorithm to optimize the design and implementation.The result of application of Tower PDM production management system is to improve production efficiency and economic benefits on the informationization approach, and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises. The system described in the theis combines the features in tower manufacturing, therefore it is more innovative and practical.
