West Union Wa Household Economic Behavior

The farmers of Wa in Ximeng County of Yunnan is an ethnic group which live cross-border, is the main rural economic growth part of the Ximeng country, is the key to understand the Ximeng County's agriculture, farmers and rural issues. After the founding of new China, the Wa of Ximeng County transfer from primitive society which is slash and burn into the new social system of socialism just by one step. With the growth and development in new China, Wa farmers has been the growth and development also. The central and local governments give farmers of Wa all-round attention and input such as policy, material, capital, technology, education, and so on. However, because of historical, environmental, cultural and many other factors, farmers of Wa are poor and starting late. Their development is slower than the neighboring farmers;input-output low, inadequate allocation of resources, poverty is large. So far, some farmers are still hovering in the food and clothing line.The poverty status of Wa farmers, not only because some objective reasons, but also because the lack of scientific analysis and understanding on the farmers'behavior characteristics and the factors which influent them. At this stage, to correctly understand and grasp the reality of economic behavior characteristics and influencing factors of Wa farmers that are important to formulate correct policies to alleviate poverty and development and full realization the strategic objective of building a socialist well-off society. This paper attempts to in the previous studies results and based on the Wa farmers as the object of study, combining with the history and development of Wa farmers, after serious data investigation, collection, to analysis Wa farmers' characteristics of production behavior, consumer behavior, and exchange behaviors. With the help of PEST macro analysis model to explore the macro external factors on the economic behavior of farmers; in the use of the conclusion of the study on behavior affect the subjective internal factors to analysis micro impact of internal factors. On this basis, we propose through main traction, technical traction, system traction, cultural traction to optimize the response of farmers'economic behaviors'policy and recommendation, in the hope of Wa farmers fairly well-off and eradication of poverty as soon as possible to make a little humble.
