China's Grain Import And Export Trade The "big Effect" Research

Food issue is a problem of top priority in China. In other words, food safety is a strategic issue that has a close relationship with economic development, social stability and state sovereignty. In recent years, especially since 2008, world food price has been at a very high level, and food problem becomes a world focus again.The trade volume of China's main food category occupies a substantial part in the world. The thesis will focus on several main food categories in China---corn, soybeans, grain, rice, analyze whether these kinds of food have a great-country position in the world market and explore the underlying causes and its effects. The thesis first analyzes the theoretical basses of great country effects from international economic perspective, then analyzes the great country effects of corn export and beans import with a positive analysis method. The thesis summarizes the foreign and domestic factors that result in this great country effects, focuses on its influence on China's economy, and provides some suggestions in the end.
