Rmb Internationalization Model

The sub-prime mortgage crisis which originated in the United States in 2007 had evolved into the international financial crisis, which caused significant negative impacts on the development of the world economy. China's economy has also encountered with a great challenge inevitably. The crisis highlighted the imbalance of China's economic development and the disadvantage status in the contemporary international monetary system. Although the negative impacts of the international financial crisis have gradually weakened since 2010, the European sovereign debt crisis has emerged and the uncertainty of future economic development is still hanging over the world. Since the international financial crisis in 2008, the CNY internationalization has been put on the agenda and has been put into practice with the Chinese growing strength in the economic and political arena in the world. The CNY internationalization is not only the key initiative for China to get a priority in the international monetary system, but also has a significant and positive meaning of the development of China and the world.This paper studied the CNY internationalization mode and included various methods such as normative analysis , positive analysis, empirical analysis, comparative analysis and interdisciplinary research methods. This paper took the post international financial crisis as the macroeconomic background. First of all, we reviewed the papers related to CNY internationalization including the contents, benefits and costs, and experience, and got the latest results from the existed papers on the CNY internationalization . Secondly, this paper analyzed the contents, conditions, benefits and costs of CNY internationalization on the basis of the contents and conditions of currency internationalization. And then this paper analyzed and studied the international history and experience in pound, U.S. dollar, Japanese yen and euro, came to the conclusion of the international stage and mode of major world currencies individually, and brought up notices for CNY internationalization. Thirdly, this paper analyzed the current situation of CNY internationalization and pointed out existing problems which are practical basis of CNY internationalization. Finally, this paper analyzed the CNY internationalization mode in three dimensions, including strategic positioning, routing selection and taken measures on the basis of the theoretical and practical analysis according to China's specific national conditions. This paper was expected to provide certain theories and experience to China's currency bureau.
